We are delighted to announce that Suny Group’s complete suite of lithium battery recycling equipment has successfully commenced full-scale operations in India. Our client—a leading enterprise in India’s waste management sector—sought a robust and reliable solution capable of processing a wide variety of lithium-ion batteries, primarily including ternary lithium batteries and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, Suny Group was ultimately selected for the project, distinguished by our exceptional track record in high-purity metal separation and extraction, as well as our rigorous safety standards. The installed production line encompasses the entire processing workflow, ranging from preliminary dismantling and crushing to advanced electrostatic separation.

Key Technological Achievements of the Indian Lithium Battery Recycling Facility:

High-Purity “Black Mass” Recovery: The facility has achieved a consistent metal separation rate of up to 99%. This ensures that the extracted “Black Mass” is of such superior quality that it is highly sought after by downstream hydrometallurgical refineries.

Safety and Fire Prevention: Given India’s climatic conditions, the integration of “Nitrogen-Protected Crushing Technology” played a pivotal role in this project. This system maintains an inert gas environment throughout the entire crushing process, thereby effectively preventing thermal runaway and ensuring the facility’s safe, uninterrupted operation on a 24/7 basis.

Environmental Compliance: The facility features a fully enclosed, closed-loop design and is equipped with a three-stage exhaust gas purification system. This ensures that all emissions—including dust and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)—fully comply with India’s increasingly stringent environmental quality standards.
