Semi-Automatic PV Module Frame Removal Machine

SUNYGROUP’s semi-automatic PV module frame removal machine is primarily designed for the aluminum frame dismantling stage prior to solar panel recycling; it serves as a core pre-treatment unit within the PV panel recycling production line.

The machine employs a mechanism combining hydraulic drive with mechanical clamping and pulling. Operators place the PV module onto the platform and perform initial positioning. A clamping device secures the panel, while hydraulic cylinders drive stripping blades or pulling hooks to apply force at the interface (including the sealant) between the aluminum frame and the glass. Through powerful pulling or squeezing, the aluminum frames are stripped from the sides or perimeter of the module—either simultaneously or in stages—effectively separating the frame from the module body (glass, EVA, and solar cells).

This semi-automatic PV module frame machine minimizes glass breakage, facilitating the subsequent clean separation of the PV glass from the cells and backsheet. The equipment allows for adjustments to the clamping fixtures and hydraulic stroke to accommodate various PV module specifications, such as single-glass or double-glass configurations, as well as differing dimensions and thicknesses.

The removed aluminum frames are of high purity and free from impurities, allowing them to be sold directly as high-quality scrap aluminum. The remaining frameless modules are then fed into a pyrolysis or physical crushing and sorting system to recover other high-value materials.
