How to properly recycle the ACP?

Waste Aluminum-Plastic Composite Panels (ACPs) are a novel type of composite material consisting of two layers of aluminum alloy sheets bonded to an intermediate plastic core layer through a hot-pressing process; this material is widely utilized in building facades. So, how can these bulky, discarded ACPs be transformed into high-purity aluminum and recyclable plastic granules?

ACP Crushing and Separation Equipment

Today, SUNYGROUP’s ACP Crushing and Separation Equipment has completely resolved this challenge. This ACP recycling system employs a dry, physical-mechanical separation process. Its core workflow encompasses coarse crushing, secondary crushing, pulverizing and dissociation, vibrating screening, and high-voltage electrostatic separation. The high-voltage electrostatic separation technology leverages the difference in electrical conductivity between aluminum and plastic to achieve separation, yielding a sorting efficiency of up to 99.9%.

The ACP recycling process is entirely physical; it requires no heating, incineration, water washing, or the addition of chemical reagents, thereby generating absolutely no environmental pollution. This recycling line features a high degree of automation and requires only one to two operators to manage. The final output consists of aluminum granules and plastic granules. The aluminum granules boast a purity of up to 99% and can be sent directly to smelters to be cast into high-quality aluminum ingots. The plastic granules can be sold directly for use in the plastics industry as recycled raw materials. If you would like to learn more, please contact us at: sales.sunycycle@gmail.com
